Time, Inc. is continuing the downsizing trend among the major mainstream media.
In just the last few months:
- NBC has laid off 700
- St. Paul Pioneer Press cut its newsroom staff by 10 percent, giving buy-outs to 21
- Now Time, Inc. has laid off 289, from People, to Sports Illustrated to Time.
